There is a long and complicated process to get the golden axe in Animal Crossing: Wild World. The basic steps are: Joan->Red Turnip->Wendell->Turban->Sahara->Massage Chair->Tortimer->Scallop->Pascal->Golden Axe.

To get the golden axe in Animal Crossing Wild World, you must go through a complicated trading process, starting with Joan. You must buy a red turnip seed from Joan, and bury it in the ground, and then dig it up. This way, you have a turnip instead of a seed.

You then feed the red turnip to Wendell, and Wendell will either give you the turban or the country guitar. You don't want the country guitar, and the only way to get the golden axe is to get the turban (you can repeat this multiple times until Wendell gives you the turban). Next, after you get the turban, give it to Sahara. Sahara will either give you the massage chair or a red vase (again, you can repeat all of these steps until you get the massage chair).
