How do you get new clothes in sims?

I have the Sims 2 so this answer may differ, but try anyways. For Sims 2, you can call a taxi to take you to a community lot with clothes for sale. It will usually say in description. Then, when you get there, you just click on a clothes rack and start shopping!

You have to call a taxi and go downtown or to your neighborhood shopping district. Then when you get there, click on one of the clothes rack and click "Buy..." then you can choose some clothes to buy
