i too have this game that it is not possible to play online... sadly you can only do lan (witch means people around you in a room) so you can only polay with friends around you

yeah, if you played Dungeon Siege 1 and bought the expansion Legends of Aranna, you can transfer your character. I think you do it, by just playing it in the expansion, or if you want to be techy, (I think this also works but I can't remember exactly) in my documents, where your save files are, take the one's in Dungeon Siege and put it in the DSLOA one. The inside is the exact same with the folders, so put the files in the part that looks the same.
