How do you get eggs from the day care in Pokemon Heart Gold?

This is what you got to do:

1) catch/get a ditto holding a quick powder.

2) Put the ditto holding the quick powder and the other Pokemon you want get by egg.

3) Start walking around and in about 2 to 5 minutes the day care guy will call you and tell you theres an egg.

Here are some tips:

1) it doesnt work with legendaries. so don't expect a legendary Pokemon egg.

2) sometimes the day care guy doesnt call so if you think you walked for a long time go talk to the day care guy.

3) once you get the egg it will take allot of time to hatch believe me because it took about 10 to 15 minutes to hatch one.

4) if you get the egg and didnt take the Pokemon back another egg will appear sooner than the one you got.

5) im not sure about the ditto carrying the quick powder, but that's what i did.

6) don't worry about the egg turning into a ditto. it wont happen. just make sure you put the ditto firdt and then the other Pokemon.
