Go to the very first level, World 1-1, and go to the end of the level, but do not finish it. Close to the end you will find one of those turning platforms, "i don't know what it is called,"
you know the ground that is moving in circles, got to the second moving ground from the
end . Wait for the pipe to come by. When it does stand on top of it then wait for the pipe
to just flow by with you on it. You will soon realize that there is a hidden path under ground. You will see a bunch of coins, collect all of them, at the end of the moving platform there will be 3 hidden invisible boxes containing 1-ups. continue on then jump. You will be above ground...................by the end of the level you should of collected 4 to 7 1-ups.
Keep on repeating this cycle until you have 99 1-ups
"this is the method i used to get 99 1-ups"
Answer(william's):
Go to world 1-2. go to the point where you meet the bricks and you have to dash under it. Get the star from a block. DASH and try to touch the monsters WHILE YOU HAVE THE STAR you'll soon get a lot of one ups every time you destroy a monster! more then 4-7 if you get every monster.
