This is usually caused by lag. You can wait out the problem, it does not last long, but if you are really bugged by it you can defrag your computer of gat software that will speed it up.
the lag is controled by the type of computer and the amount of space that your computer has! Also in your games you can add anti-lag scripts that will help do that, to add that either make one or get one from free-models!
Update your drivers to fix a keyboard to mouse lag in your Pavilion g6.

Get data install on the game and it should help out the lag a bit. If not, check your umd (if its pirated, youre a terrible person and theres nothing we can do about that) and/or your disc reader. If they are dirty, clean them up. That should fix up some lag as well.
Just relog, it usually works for me
Well there is no real way to fix lag on Left for Dead 1 or 2. The best thing you can do to battle lag is to have a good internet connection (not dial-up or a cheesy internet) and, if you're playing on the computer, to make sure your computer has the correct system requirements for the game. Unfortunately though, if you're playing online with someone that has a bad connection, it makes everyone playing with that person lag.

"Lag" is a common term used to describe the difference in time between an event happening on a client and on a server. For example, if you fire a weapon in an online shooter, the following steps take place: -Your mouse receives input, and the game registers that it needs to shoot a bullet. -The bullet travels in your game client, but as it is shot, the information of it is also sent to all other clients in the online match -If the bullet collides with another player entity, it is considered a "hit". All of that takes time to do [because of internet connections, and non-instant hardware]. The amount of time between your client's register of a hit or not, and the server's register of a hit or not is what "lag" is. --- Note: Lag is measured in milliseconds.

Well, if you are playing on the lowest setting, you can disable fog from the settings. That helped my computer a lot.
