Unfortunately, you can only do this if you have a Nintendo DSi or 3DS. Go to options on the device, go to internet, then settings, then click on any of the valid communications(what you needed to have wi-fi) and after clicking on it, go over until you find "auto-obtain DNS". Switch the auto-obtain DNS settings to no, and then if you click on Primary DNS or Secondary DNS, then you can enter any code you like. Make sure to have the same settings in another slot with the Auto-Obtain DNS on. Just make sure that after putting in the code you save it.

I learned this the hard way with my umbreon. Enter the dns code and go to the gts. You should receive your Pokemon. It sometimes doesnt work, but keep trying!
