Hold Eject button down for 6 seconds (while PS3 is on): force disc to eject. I was able to get a disc out by turning off the PS3 by unplugging it and then try holding down the eject button for 6 seconds when turned on and plugged in.

It was not a computer game, but the same thing happens if you try to play any unreadable disc. The PS3 tells you it is unreadable and you eject it.
