Beating the Elite Four is all about strategy! Having the right type of Pokemon and the right sort of moves is essential to any victory. Assemble a team of well balanced, good leveled Pokemon and you're sure to win against the trainers you must face. To help you with your decisions here are the trainers, their Pokemon and the moves that will beat them down (1st round Elite Four Pokemon):Lorelei (Ice)

Pokemon: Dewgong (Water/Ice) Lv52, Slowbro (Water/Psychic) Lv52, Lapras (Water/Ice) Lv54, Jynx (Ice/psychic) Lv54 and Cloyster (Water/Ice) Lv51.

Their Strengths: Dragon, Flying, Grass and Ground-types.

Their Weaknesses: Fighting, Fire (sometimes), Rock(sometimes), Electric and Steel-types.

Bruno (Fighting)

Pokemon: Onix (Rock/Ground) Lv51, Hitmonchan (Fighting) Lv53, Machamp (Fighting) Lv 56, Hitmonlee (Fighting) Lv53 and Onix (Rock/Ground) Lv 54.

Their Strengths: Dark, Ice, Normal, Rock and Steel-types.

Their Weaknesses: Flying, Grass, Water, and Psychic-types.

Agatha (Poison)

Pokemon: Gengar (Ghost/Poison) Lv54, Golbat (Poison/Flying) Lv54, Arbok (Poison) Lv56, Gengar (Ghost/Poison) Lv 58 and Haunter (Ghost/Poison).

Their Strengths: Ghost and Psychic-types.

Their Weaknesses: Dark, Ghost-types, and Psychic-types (Ground-types for Poison Pokemon).

Ineffective: Normal and Fighting-type attacks on Ghost-types.

Lance (Dragon)

Pokemon: Gyarados (Water/Flying) Lv56, Aerodactyl (Rock/Flying) Lv58, Dragonair (Dragon) Lv54, Dragonair (Dragon) Lv54, Dragonite (Dragon/Flying) LV60.

Their Strengths: Dragon-types.

Thier Weaknesses: Dragon, Electric and Ice-types.

Champion (Mixed)

Bulbasaur as your starter Pokemon:

Pokemon: Pidgeot (Normal/Flying) Lv59, Rhydon (Ground/Rock) Lv59, Charizard(Fire) Lv65, Gyarados (Water/Flying) Lv59, Alakazam (Psychic) Lv57 and Arcanine (Fire) LV61.

Charmander as your starter Pokemon:

Pokemon: Pidgeot (Normal/Flying) Lv61, Alakazam (Psychic) Lv59, Rhydon (Ground/Rock) Lv61, Gyarados (Water/Flying) Lv63, Exeggutor (Grass/Psychic) Lv61 and Blastoise(Water) Lv65.

Squirtle as your starter Pokemon:

Pokemon: Pidgeot (Normal/Flying) Lv61, Alakazam (Psychic) Lv59, Rhydon (Ground/Rock) Lv61, Arcanine (Fire) Lv61, Exeggutor (Grass/Psychic) Lv63 and Venusaur (Grass) Lv65.

Unfortunately, after you defeat the Elite Four for the first time, (and finish building the network device for Celio), the members will change their Pokemon (and the levels of the other Pokemon) and thus, the above information will be changed. The same strategies still apply, but you should level up your Pokemon more before you face them a second time.

DIFFERENT ANSWER----> Another option to beat the Elite 4 and the Champion is by using only a Charizard and a Zapdos along with a Lapras for healing purposes.

Charizard (Levels 70-72) knew the moves of Blast Burn, Flamethrower, Earthquake and Hyper Beam. Zapdos (Levels 51-54) knew the moves of Thunder Wave and Thunderbolt.

Items that should be used either during or out-of-battle should include Max Potions (about 15 are recommended) and Revives (about 10 recommended)

Another opinion

I would recommend you getting a super effective Pokemon for each member and that strategy should work such as for example against Lorelei she has water-types so you could use Electric or grass however for your Rival (the Champion) you should get a Pokemon super effective against his starter such as for example if he picked Bulbasaur then you select a Fire-type, if he picked Squirtle then you select a Grass-type and if he picked Charmander then you go with a Water-type.

Another option - Before you even face the Elite 4 you should train your Pokemon to a high level and you should have a selection of different types so you will be able to face all their weaknesses. Also make sure to take loads of Potions and Max revives and also make sure to take items that will heal status conditions.
