If you have a wired guitar you could just plug the cord in the front but if it is wireless then you would have to touch the sync button (a little round button located by the memory card plugins) on the XBOX360 console and also hold down the sync button on the guitar which is usually located by the bottom neckstrap and wait till the have a full circle beeping simultaneously together and you should have it synced
