How do you change the skin of your Minecraft character?

First you need to download the skin. A website called minecraftskins is the most popular one. The link can be found under "Sources and related links" below. When you have found and downloaded a skin that you like, go to minecraft's home page and log in. Click on "profile" on top of the page and choose the skin you downloaded.

Also, please note that you must have an activated premium account to change your skin. In practice, this means that players with free (and illegal) Minecraft versions cannot change the skin of their Minecraft characters.

If you go there u can look at what other people designed or create your own. I usually use the other peoples designs Then edit them once your finished with editing or making your own look up there should be a button that says Save click then give it a name then it says description u can put anything into there and then it gives you a bunch of links u want to go to the one that says link to the skin pull that up in another tab then make the window smaller and then pull the weird design and put it on your home screen then set it there and go to minecraft.net and log in as yourself and then at the top click profile then you scroll down to skin and find ur skin and click upload then ta da its changed
