How do you catch Moltres in Pokemon FireRed?

Moltres will be on One Island after you go through Mt. Ember.
First you have to beat the elite four, then you go to Mt. Ember which is on One Island, and Moltres wil be at the top.

moltres is found at the top of mt ember on one island. you have to surf up to it and you will need a pokemon that knows strength

get the master ball on the 11th floor of silph co. and go to the top of mt.ember and talk to him and battle him

I found it in Mt.Ember...just caught moltres in with lv 49 gyarados .took one hydropump 2 bites. n 2 ultraballs. with pressin a n b a lot. =3

Before you read whats below, (im not the same writer), you do NOT have to beat the Pokemon league, other people from other websites may have told you so but they are wrong. Oh srry but in my opinion you should have more ultra balls than said lower (read to find out) . maybe it does work but idk.

first if u are a serious trainer, DO NOT USE UR MASTER BALL. there are better and harder to catch Pokemon in this game(like lugia, ho-oh, mewtwo, mew, lugia, deoxys,etc).

Ok.

First u should have the three island pass. the required HMs to get to moltres are STRENGTH, ROCK SMASH and SURF.

good Pokemon to bring along are snorlax(or any Pokemon that knows a attack that puts Pokemon to sleep. sleep powder, hynosis, sing, yawn, etc) and marowak or scyther or any Pokemon that knows false swipe.

Have at least 20 ultra balls, 15 great balls and 5 timer balls.

Go to First Island. Surf to mount ember(north). look at the map if u need help (found in PCs).

Climb and battle ur way up mount ember and u will see moltres at the very top. DO NOT CHALLENGE IT YET.SAVE, IN CASE U ACCIDENTALLY FAINT IT!!!

after u have saved, either:

use a reasonably strong attack by a lower level Pokemon than moltres (lvl 50 or under) then use false swipe a few times. after it's hp is down to one, use sleep powder, hynosis, sing or yawn. note: do not poison moltres or confuse it. press AB continuously (this raises the catch rate of most poke balls) as u throw the ultra ball(NOT MASTER BALL!) this will take a few tries but u will get it eventaully.

or,

use a weak attack many times, or attacks that lower foes attack, or put it to sleep and paralyse it for a long time and wakes up again, then use false swipe and a sleep attack. Now, use timer ball. the battle should have, by now, lasted at least 10 turns. press AB continuously the moment u throw the ball. this increases catch rate. u may have to try a few times, but good luck.

Improvement: Don't bother hitting A, or B, repeatedly. It does not raise the catch rate; all it does is tire out your arm, lol. Also, you don't need rock smash to get Moltres.

Well if you were able to catch the other two legendarys then just use the masterball you should have from earlier in the game.
