Grovyle's speed is a good advantage The only trouble you may get is with the Fire and Flying gyms... but Leaf Blade is a really good move.... Grovyle can also learn Arial Ace... wich will come in handy for Lorelei's (Elite 4 # 2) Ghost type Pokemon.... The dragon trainer is always hard (drake Elite 4#4) And champion Wallace has all Water type Pokemon (Grovyle has a huge type advantage)

Battle a few trainers until you get to about level 24 (so you can take 2 hits from absorb) and stock up on super potions. Use mud shot to lower grovyle's speed on the first turn. Second turn use mud slap to lower its accuracy. Now use a super potion each turn until grovyle misses, then use mud slap to further lower its accuracy. Repeat until you get six mud slaps in (four or five may be enough). By now it can't hit the back door of a barn and you can kill it off with tackle.
