How do you beat Wattson the Mauville City gym leader in Pokemon sapphire with a grovyle?

electric moves arent very good against grass, so that gives a bit of an advantage, but if all you have is a grovyle then it might be tricky. maybe catch a geodude or something that electric moves cant hurt

Correction!!! You can catch a Geodude like the last person said. But maybe it doesn't know ground type moves? Then, you are still at a disadvantage, because Magnemite and Magneton know Sonicboom (not sure about Magneton), and Sonicboom still hits the oppenent with normal damage even though its Normal type to Rock type. So, I would suggest either teaching it Ground type moves, get a Makuhita at Dewford Town, or the best would be catching a Shroomish then evolve it into Breloom and teach it Mach Punch.

It is true u can do what the other two did above me, but as for me i would catch a Aron, wouldn't delete Mud Slap and train it till, like untill u can defeat Wattson, but for my advice do not start over and get either a Torchick or Mudkip because it'll be hard to defeat Tate and Lize the 7th Gym Leaders because of there Solrock, Lunatone, and Claydol.
