Yes, you can put music on the Nintendo DSi, but it only plays AAC files. You will need: iTunes, an SD card, and a way to plug an SD card into your computer.
First you have to download the MP3 file you want. You can do this in the iTunes Store
iTunes is used for the converting of the MP3 File.
When you have installed iTunes, drag the MP3 File in your iTunes window, right-click and click on it and select "Make AAC Version", which will start the converting process. When the converting is done (you'll be informed when it is done), drag the AAC file to your SD Card.

what i did was download dBpowerAmp music converter and theres a tab that lets you choose what file type you want to convert to. b4 u can convert them to aac(.m4a) files you have to go online and download the encoder and put it inside the program files folder. theres a red button to do that. after that you can set the output of the file like desktop or i made folder in desktop for aac files and everything i convert sends it there. if you have a multi core CPU like me you can convert multiple songs at a time. after that i just opened the sd card and created a music folder in the ds file and put my music in there.
