1. Defeat the Nugget Bridge and Rocket Grunt.
2. Go over to grass on left side. DO NOT let the guy standing at the end of the grass see you, or else the glitch is ruined.
3. Catch an Abra (this usually takes at least 40-45 minutes with a Pokemon that knows Sleep Powder, Yawn, or Hypnosis) and add it to your party.
4. Heal your Pokemon in the Cerulean Pokemon Center.
5. Save your game and walk up Nugget Bridge and go right until you find a boy with a Slowpoke. (He says, 'My dad took me to a party on the S.S. Anne!')
6. DO NOT battle him; instead turn your game off and start from your save point.
7. Remember that kid I told you not to battle on the left side of Nugget Bridge? Well, now stand just above him until you're one step up from him going '!'.
8. When you step down, IMMEADIATELY Pause the game.
9. Choose 'Pokemon' and then press on your Abra. It should say 'Teleport'; so choose that.
10. The kid will go '!', but don't worry; you'll Teleport to the Cerulean Pokemon Center before he can battle you.
11.The Pause button will (temporarily) not work, because the game has been tricked into thinking it's in Battle Mode.
12. This is the hard part: Walk back up Nugget Bridge, go right, and battle the kid with the Slowpoke. This is the hard part because he needs to walk up towards you or the game will freeze and you'll have to start over.
13. After you've defeated him, Teleport again. (The Pause button will work now because a battle has ended)
14. This is the easy part; all you have to do is walk up the left side of Nugget Bridge until, randomly, your Menu opens.
15. Once you've closed your Menu, a battle will start with a Level 7 Mew. Either put it to sleep or drain its power with a level 7-9 Pokemon, and try to catch it in a PokeBall.
Fun Fact: Nintendo was unaware that the creator of Pokemon had programmed Mew into the Pokemon Blue and Red cartridges.
Catching Mew in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen (the remakes of Red and Blue)This is so simple to explain, that there are no need for steps. Just battle the Elite Four 12 times in a row and go to Cerulean Cave(the place you can get Mewtwo). The only downside to this is that one of the Elite Four people has a really, really, really powerful Aerodactyl. I swear, if even one of your Pokemon is beaten by this thing, you're screwed. It will gain like an attack boost or something. Also, one of the Elite Four people may have a Bad Egg if you battle them too much. This is super rare, and it only happened to me once after I had battled them 200 times, because my Pokemon kept on getting knocked out by that stupid Aerodactyl. I hate that Aerodactyl. I really do.Well, that's how you get Mew in at least 5 of the Pokemon games. Have fun with your glitches, everyone!!
