well if you guys are next to eachother and you can run a lan wire from one computer to other to play in custom match. If not together and you dont have your own online server you pay for you cannot play. You can go to other peoples online servers and you can give him a name of server you joined or server IP address and he can join to your server. Fastest way to do that is join a server bring down a consol (`) button type in Status it will give you information about the server and its provider copy the server IP adress should look like 225.424.422:25025 or something like that send your friend a messege with that IP adress he needs to bring down his (`) consol type in Connect and paste that ip so Connect(space )225.424.422:25025 and hit enter now you two can play together have fun
