no it doesnt, if you buy your wii in usa can only play ntsc and vise versa.
Answer 2 - Actually, PAL users do NOT have trouble with PAL OR NTSC because they can handle both types of video formats. NTSC (USA and Canada) can sometimes get away with it at a 3x speed. (This obviously requires a wiikey chip and a speed setup)
Try looking at http://intendo.wordpress.com/2007/02/28/trick-you-pal-wii-to-play-ntsc-gnc-games/
Answer 3: It sure can. I have a NTSC wii and I play PAL games on it. You need to look up bannerbomb (if they don't censer that out) and then truchabug (make sure you read/watch a tutorial on this one), then cIOS and then NeoGamma or USBLoaderGX. BTW I am telling you to mod your wii. It sounds like a lot, but it'll only take about 10 mins. I don't know of any other way to do this right out of the box. and this process is FREE!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't recommend you mess with it to much. Crashed mine, but I was using way more advanced stuff then what I am telling you to do.
Answer 4: Mine does. But then, like the author of Answer 3, I have also software-modified my Wii. Using software that has NOT been authorised by Nintendo (so-called 'homebrew' software) you can do all sorts of lovely things to your Wii, such as enable the DVD drive to play movies; change the region settings of your wii, stream avi / divx movies from your home PC to your TV using the Wii as a media center, backup your games to your PC, play games from an external HARD drive attached to your Wii (I seldom use disks these days) and use open source software. HOWEVER it takes a bit of research and know-how to figure each of these programs out. You need to download the correct software and get it onto a SD 'camera' memory card to initially 'break into' the Wii and get your programs to run. This afternoon I used 'any region changer' on my Wii. I can now play the Wii Virtual Console game "Mario Golf 64' on my wii at full speed (60Hz), despite the fact that the game has not being sold here in the UK. I also can play my NTSC imported gamecube games that have been stuck in my loft for a couple of years (my gamecube was an import from the USA) and my daughter enjoyed a bit of 'Animal Crossing' and 'luigi's mansion'. THE BIG BUT is that Nintendo do not want you running all sorts of non-licenced software on your Wii, so if DO start down this route, you had better disconnect your Wii from the Wiiconnect24 service, and also don't update the firmware on your Wii any more either! You wouldn't want any malicious attack from Nintendo over the internet turning your lovely Wii into am overpriced paperweight.
answer 5
i agree with everything in the other answers except for unplug your internet from the wii if you also look up priiloader you can hack the wii to block all of nintendos updates through the net and by game disc!!. There are also lots of ways to download apps and files directly to your wii using homebrew browser and nus downloader. But you need to make sure you read the install guiudes before doing anything to the wii as ALL relevant hacks need to be enabled.
Probably not, (Ahem) There are 2 regions of Wiis. PAL and NTSC. PAL Wiis can only play PAL games. NTSC games can only be played by NTSC Wiis. NTSC is usually for The USA, PAL is generally for everywhere else. There are also NTSC-J Wiis in japan.
No. NTSC games will not work on a PAL Xbox 360.
Wii has got Multi region and PAL and NTSC If your wii is multi it will open any kind of games PAL-European somehow won't be able to play NTSC-American And the opposite applies
If you want to play Super Famicom games on a PAL SNES you need a converter. It's the exact same converter you'd need to play NTSC SNES games so it can be had cheap on eBay. Hope this helps!
sorry, no you can not. NTSC is a format that can only be played on a NTSC console. NTSC and PAL are two different coding methods. NTSC is coded for the North America and South America. pal is coded for across seas.
yah my xbox 360 plays PAL, but Nintendo games are not region-free generally.
no cause its ntsc

No, unfortunately not. Your best bet is to purchase NTSC games off the internet, from eBay or a similar website.
i don't think so. UK is a pal region and us is a ntsc region. I've had a bad run in with that, i got a free game i had won from Nintendo. but since my wii is ntsc, and the free game was pal , the game i got would not work
Yes. Pal and NTSC.
No it won't play because wii games in Dubai are PAL and US games are NTSC. Except if you have a pal wii

if the game and console are PAL it should be alright and i think the UK and Australia are both PAL regions so it will probably work

PSP games are not region locked - and the PSP plays in NTSC format regardless - PAL and NTSC are TV display resolutions, when used in a PSP context it just refers to area of origin.
