Devil May Cry got its name from a line that Lady said to comfort Dante during the end of DMC3. After losing Vergil in the Underworld, he came back to Lady, returning her rocket launcher, Kalina Ann, and stating that the demons were gone but will be back very soon. She looks up to him and sees what she never expected from a demon. Lady: Are you crying? Dante: It's only the rain. Lady: The rain already stopped. Dante: Devils never cry. Lady: I see. Maybe somewhere out there even a devil may cry when he loses a loved one. Don't you think? Dante: Maybe.

After numerous battles, an encounter with a being calling itself Jester,[18] and another run-in with Lady, Dante attains the tower's summit and battles Vergil. Vergil soundly defeats Dante, steals Dante's amulet, and departs. As a result of his defeat Dante's dormant devil powers emerge, and he sets off in pursuit. yes
I've been researching about Devil May Cry for a very long while and a lot of these answers to peoples' questions are hard to find. But here's what I found (and some of them can be confusing due to CapCom's stupidity) - DmC (Dante is 16-21 years old but the thing is, this game isn't gonna be part of the series now.) - Devil May Cry 3 Manga (Dante is 18) - Devil May Cry 3 and Marvel vs CAPCOM 3 (Dante is 19) - Devil May Cry 1 Novel (Dante is 28) - Devil May Cry 1 and Viewtiful Joe (Dante is 28-29 years old) - Devil May Cry Anime (Dante is 29-30 years old) - Devil May Cry 2 Novel and Devil May Cry 2 -> (Dante is 30 years old, CAPCOM plans to change it though to between 35 and 40 years old cause there have been rumours that there's gonna be a REAL Devil May Cry 5 taking place after this game, and Nero will star in it again ;)) - Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne (Dante is 30-31 years old) - Devil May Cry 4 (Dante is 31-34 years old but like I said, CapCom plans to change that)
Devil May Cry 5 hasn't been announce yet, so where did you come up with this information
It's not known yet. But I personally think that the most reasonable choises would be Tom Cruise for an older version like in Devil May Cry 4 and Ashton Kutcher for a younger version like in Devil May Cry 3. These two actors seem as childish as Dante is.

He doesn't have one. His regular name is Dante Sparda.
Dante is the main character. You don't need to unlock him.
devil sometimes cry and ppl says tat devil never cry so then devil did cry and thus people conclude devil may cry however none have survive an encounter with a devil thus they can never be sure they DID cry so thus it can only be concluded devil MAY cry. So there.Originally the phrase "Devil May Cry" was fished out during a conversation between Dante and Lady at the end of Devil May Cry 3(Please bare in mind that it's a preqeul to the previous installments). After the supposed loss of Dante's brother Vergil, Dante is stricken with grief. Lady notices this which leads her to ask if he's crying. He replies "It's only the rain", to which Lady confirms that he was crying for the rain had stopped already stopped abruptly after his answer. She then concludes out loud the following: "Maybe somewhere out there even a devil may crywhen he looses a loved one. Don't you think?" Proptly after the events of the of DMC3, Dante opens up shop in which he titles it: "Devil May Cry".I think its in some way related to the phrase "Devil may care", which is the name of quite alot of different stuff including a Sherlock Holmes book. At the moment I'm still looking into it but I can only presume its some kind of play on that theme, reversing the meaning I think.

Devil May Cry 3 & 4 because of his own blade, Rebellion given to him by his father, Sparda. Does that answer your question? Other blades change his form but it all starts on rebellion.
