No, you don't NEED a Master Ball to catch ANY of the Pokemon. It is entirely up to you which one you use it on. However, MewTwo is one of the ones that you should consider saving it for. Since you didn't indicate which game you are playing, it's difficult to answer your question. If you are playing Gold/Silver/Crystal or HG/SS then I would suggest saving the MB for one of the 3 legendaries (Entei, Raikou, & Suicune) being that they run away so easily. Except for Suicune, the other 2 are roaming and run like mad, it can be very frustrating if you don't just get lucky on a first throw ultra ball. You need a pkmn with the move FALSE SWIPE that will always leave the opponent with AT LEAST 1 HP and is essential for catching difficult pkmn!
You can catch Mewtwo with an ultra ball, but it's very difficult to whittle its HP down, and will take a long time. If you have lvl85 charizard holding leftovers and the moves:(flamethrougher, cut, blast burn, and dragon claw) then try attacking it in this order (carry 40 ultraballs at least) try 1st flamethrougher then dragon claw then cut. Only when the HP is in the red should you start hucking ultra balls at it.
A dusk ball should work better if it is night or if you are in a cave because when you are in a cave or its night the dusk ball has a *4 probability of catching a Pokemon whereas ultra ball has a *2 probability anytime worked much better for me
ANSWER 1:Mewtwo appears only in Fire Red and Leaf Green. You can catch him in either of those games and then trade him to Pokemon Ruby.sorry mate its impossible only way is to trade like this guy said (: (: (: (: (: (: (:ANSWER 2:I regret to tell you that you cannot catch Mewtwo in Ruby. You can only catch Mewtwo in FireRed or LeafGreen. (You can use cheats to get it but it wouldn't be as fun).Mewtwo is at Level 70 in LeafGreen and FireRed so use an Ultra Ball/Timer Ball/Master Ball.If you need/want a Mewtwo you can trade Mewtwo into your Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald Game.
No, you do not need a master ball, if you get it to a low enough hp, you can catch it with an ultra ball. You can find mew in the end of the cave in cerulean.
it doesnt matter what ball you use... ultra ball or master ball is recommended though
You don't really need a Master Ball to get a legendary. However, the only other way to get a Master Ball legitimately is by the Jubilife City lottery. If all of the numbers match, you get a Master Ball.
yes palkia is a legendary thank you you need a a master ball to catch palkia
You can probaly catch him with a ultra ball but I would use the master ball
I think it is almost impossible. You can use master ball on it. Legendary Pokemon are really powerful and you may need to use even ultra ball (extra legendary Pokemon like mewtwo or lugia are recommended to catch with master ball).

you need to have two master balls.
no. you actually dont. But I caught him with a master ball because I have 999 Master Ball. My brother caught it with a poke ball on yellow. Shake your DS and it will be easier to catch.

To Catch Mewtwo You Need A Action Replay.

A master ball ,ultra ball or fast balls etc.NOTE:Raikou flees a lot
beat the elite four. This is true. But, you have a greater chance of finding one of the legendary dogs on Route 1. Use your master ball for it. it can run away. (don't worry-you can catch mewtwo with an ultra ball- I've done it.)
