If your PlayStation 3 controller ceases to function, first check the LED indicator lights on the front of the controller to ensure that it is still connected to the system. If the lights are off, first attempt to connect the controller to the PlayStation 3 or a power source with the USB cable. Press the PS button and the controller will reconnect with the system. If all four lights on the controller are flashing simultaneously, the controller is functioning, but cannot connect to the system. In this scenario, move the controller closer to the PlayStation and wait for the connection to complete. When connecting the controller to the PS3 via USB or Bluetooth fail to suffice, contact Sony eSupport for assistance.
There should be a flap that lifts up ontop of the wii and there are 4 slots to plug the controller into put it into the closest one to the power button. Not all wii's have that flap. The newer ones with new mario bros. wii dont have the flap, so the controller wont work. Found this out from gamestop.

If you are using a wired controller you just plug it in. If you are using a wireless you turn on the controller then click the little button on the very top above the battery pack and the click the little button on the console beside the power button. It should pause the game and make all the circles go around the menu button. This is if your connecting a controller that's never been connected to that console. If the controller has been connected to that console before just hold the center button on the controller. In some games you will have to be in the menu's in order to connect extra controllers.
yes all u need to do is press the little button on top of the remote and the little button near the power button on the 360 :)

Power it. The sensor bar is really just a collection of infrared LEDs. With the standard sensor bar, just plug it into the back of the Wii console.
To do this, you need a power adapter (a computer power supply will work great for this). The Drive will have a molex connector on the back for +12 VDC, ground, ground, +5 VDC. Connect a molex connector to that drive with the proper voltages, and the drive should power on. However, it won't be much good without connecting it to a computer motherboard, or drive controller.
