The Calculator has a continuous effect that boosts its ATK. This effect becomes active the moment it is considered successfully summoned to the field. So,

Player A places The Calculator on the field. He, or his opponent, have a chance to Counter the summon.

If neither player counters it, the summon is successful. The Calculator's ATK changes to a new value.

Now players can activate cards in response to the summon, this is where cards like Trap Hole or Torrential Tribute can be used. Bottomless Trap Hole can be used here also, and if The Calculator's new ATK is 1500 or over, it will be destroyed and removed.

Can you use bottomless trap hole on Odin father of the aesir?

yes You can

Which is better - Trap Hole or Bottomless Trap Hole?

It depends on the circumstances. Generally, "Bottomless Trap Hole" will be the better card; it works on Special Summons and it removes the monster it destroys from play. However, "Trap Hole" has one advantage: the monster summoned only needs 1000 ATK to trigger it, whereas "Bottomless Trap Hole" requires at least 1500 ATK. So, it would depend upon the type of deck you planned to use or went up against, but most people would choose "Bottomless Trap Hole".

Can you use bottomless trap hole during the battle phase if your opponent activates call of the haunted or gorz the emissary?

You can't use Bottomless Trap Hole in the Damage Step of the Battle Phase (the period of play that starts when the defending monster is flipped, to the time monsters destroyed by battle go to the graveyard and anything that triggers from that finishes resolving). But you can't use Call of the Haunted during those times either, so any valid use of Call of the Haunted can have Bottomless Trap Hole used against it if the monster has enough ATK. If Gorz is being summoned outside the Damage Step, then yes, Bottomless Trap Hole can be used against him. If he is being summoned due to battle damage, this is in the Damage Step, so Bottomless Trap Hole can't be used against him.

Does bottomless trap hole work on obelisk the effect monster?

Normal summon, no. Special summon, yes.The reason is, when Obelisk is normal summoned, no spells, traps or monster effects can be activated. That means it prevents anything being activated in the 'summon response' window, which is where you'd normally use cards like Trap Hole, Bottomless Trap Hole, Torrential Tribute, etc.

If you summon a monster with question mark ATK can someone use Trap Hole on it?

Yes, someone can use "Trap Hole" if it's attack is determined to be 1000 or greater when Normal Summoned. For example, let's say I Normal Summon "The Calculator". If it is the only monster on my field it's attack is immediately determined to be 600. If I already had a 4 star monster then summoned "The Calculator", it's attack is immediately determined to be 1200 and "Trap Hole" can be activated to destroy it.
