Can you turn off language in left 4 dead 2?

That game does swear a lot, but I'm fairly certain that you can go into the controls and edit the sounds to put Voice to zero. This is kind of impractical though because it shuts off all voice, so when your teamates are downed by hunters and smokers, you wont know it unless you see it with your own eyes, and if they are trying to give you instructions, your screwed unless you know what you're doing. You could put on subtitles though, that way if you need to know something, you can read it and not have to hear it.
