No, you can not a hard drive is required for add-ons. Because most game expansion are pretty big an Xbox 360 memory unit will not hold them maybe it was some thing under about 100 mega bytes (and you have an xbox 360 memory unit) you could but if you dont you're outta luck.
It basically cuts the loading time on the game etc...
When the Xbox says install game it does not mean you are about to install the full game onto your hard drive. When you install a game on to your Xbox it's taking some of the game files and installing them to make the game run smoother and possibly look better.
In the hardrive in the console.
The main difference is more features and storage. The Xbox 360 Pro has a 60GB hardrive and connectors for low definition or high defninition to a TV or monitor. The Xbox 360 Elite includes a 120GB hardrive, connectors for low definition or high definition to a TV or monitor, and it includes a HDMI cable
In short: no. The Xbox 360 has to install an original Xbox emulator program to run the Xbox games. It stores this emulation software on the hard drive.

Install it from a different disk onto hardrive or xbox usb then you use the broken disk as a key to play it.

You need a hardrive. Hardrive
Had this exact problem, lemme guess: you put the 2nd disk in, it takes you to the download screen, you install both of the expansions, you put the 1st disk back in, then you play the game only to find that you never hear about the little island in niben bay, and the prophet outside anvil. Solution is simple...you need a hard drive larger than the default hard drive on the xbox arcade. DOES NOT WORK ON THE ARCADE
no the hardrive you plug into your xbox 360 can only be used to play music, films and pictures from the hardrive on your xbox 360 you can not play any games nor store any xbox 360 data on the hardrive.
Yes but you have very limited space so i would reccommed that you get one
nope nope
Arcade = no hardrive Pro = 60 gb hardrive Elite = 120 gb hardrive
The latest model: The 250GB hardrive

No, they are 2 different things.
