Of course you can have two stories. When you are building a home, go to the icon in BUILD MODE that says STAIRCASES then all you do is pick a staircase of your choice and plop it into the home. Then you push page up and put flooring around what space you want to utilize up there. then you add walls and windows and doors and better flooring and paint and a roof and POOF you have a wonderful two story home. You can actually go up to 4 stories if you keep repeating that. Technically, you can do five, but the roofs dont' go on five story homes!
