It's not possible to tell you without knowing what you are measuring; cups is a volume measure, oz is a weight measure. For example, 1 cup of lead cookery weights will weigh far more than one cup of polystyrene packaging beads will. Also, 12oz of feathers will take up far more space (volume) than 12oz of lead weights will. Hence they cannot be converted without knowing what ingredient you wish to convert.
