"Moe" is an art style that generally appeals to those who prefer their animations to be more 'cartoonish' in contrast to more serious anime themes and realism .
"Moe" is an anime art style wherein the characters are purposely drawn to be cute and endearing and often characterized by overly large eyes .
Moe is a slang word. There is a literal definition. It means budding, and refers to plants. In anime it can have many meanings but with a common factor. People feel protective of moe characters. Moe characters are always lovely, whether they be maids, cat girls, girls in glasses or whatever. Often they combine innocence and childlike characteristics with bodies that can easily be sexualized. The true moe fan wants to preserve their innocence. This is not lolicon. Most moe fans agree that blushing is cuter than a panty shot. Some will even find the panty shot vulgar and still like moe characters.
It is a slang Japanese word refuring to the love of anime, manga and video game characters!
I'm not too sure about what it means, but I think it's kinda like "cute" or "kawaii", except it has to do with anime/manga characters, or anything else fictional. It's sort of a slang word in Japanese too. But yeah. You often see it in anime/manga, and it's like "kawaii".
