As of October 2009, Disney currently made a Life With Derek Movie that premiered on December 12, 2010, and will be filmed this summer in Toronto, Canada. The movie is called "Vacation with Derek". The movie starred the "Life with Derek" cast, of course, but also as a surprise, So You Think You Can Dance Canada cycle one winner Nico! He choreographed the dancing that apparently took place in this movie. One of the plots was in talk is that Casey is going to Toronto for a dancing competition with the whole family. But when she's there she has the chance of a lifetime to stay in Toronto and teach dance with So You Think You Can Dance Canada winner Nico and travel the world, but she will need to leave the family behind and live a new life as being famous. Meanwhile, Derek goes to a Toronto Maple Leafs game and is scouted by one of the coaches, giving him the dream that he always wanted. But will they leave behind there family and home, especially with a new child on the way.
