Buses
The scenario is of a woman trying to order "Two dozen, double damask, dinner napkins" in a London department store. She keeps getting the line wrong (two dozen, double damask, danner nipkins etc) until, in exasperation asking for 24 serviettes. I heard it on the radio years ago so there must be a recording. I didn't know it was Cicely Courtneidge, any research I have done previously only comes up with Bea Lillie's name. I was fairly sure the recording I had heard was not her as the voice was too "English".
