Well, I would have to say the Manga fulfills more of what audiences want to see happen between Ranma and Akane. As much as I love Rumiko Takahashi's work, she tends to leave her Anime at cliffhangers.
In the Anime and the Manga (if my memory is correct) Miaka pretty much ends up marrying Taka (who is the reincarnation of Tamahome from the book called 'The Universe of the Four Gods'.

Bleach is ongoing at the moment, and as the anime is quite far behind the manga and if they continue with fillers, we can assume the anime will continue for longer than the manga, which isn't ending
