In the Lord of the Flies why does Jack attack Piggy instead of Ralph in chapter 4?

Jack attacked Piggy rather than Ralph because he knew Piggy wouldn't fight back. If he had attacked Ralph there was a good chance that Ralph would have beaten him and Jack couldn't take the risk of losing face in front of his own hunters.

What lie does Jack tell the others at the assembly?

There are no arguments in chapter 1: the Sound of the Shell. Jack makes a few statements which are at odds with other boys and disagrees with some points but he doesn't argue about anything. His biggest contention in chapter 1 is over who should be leader, when he suggests himself but is out voted by the majority of boys who favour Ralph.

What were the two reasons why Jack said that Ralph was not a good chief?

After lying and teling the assembled boys that Ralph has called the hunters cowards and that Ralph is a coward himself Jack then says, "He's not a hunter. He'd never have got us meat. He isn't a prefect and we don't know anything about him. He just gives orders and expects people to obey for nothing."

Why does Jack get so angry when Ralph shows he is worried about Piggy in lord of the flies?

dunno man Piggy clings to Ralph he admires him and wants to be friends with him. Ralph has no interest in this and makes fun of Piggy, he tells all the other boys on the island about the nickname piggy. Ralph and all the others are bothered by piggys speeches and outbursts eventually Ralph realizzes that piggy is a good friend

After Ralph, Jack and Simon have climbed the mountain and ascertained that they are on an island. Ralph tells the rest of the boys about this discovery and refers to the island as "a good island" where they can have fun until they are rescued.
