Well some of his behaviour made him and easy target, but that doesn't mean it's ok to pick on someone. He tried to live his life in his own way the way that made him happy and I guess some people can't understand that and just thought it was weird.

Plain jealousy. A man that talended, that gifted, that adulated and that rich and most importantly that GENEROUS could only but create jealousy, greed, cruelty. It is human nature to point your finger at someone else, to avoid looking at your own lousy life. Michael has been a target for as far as I can remember. He had no ordinary life and people crucified him for being extraordinary. But I challenge any of the fools who criticize him to walk in what was his life, for only one week and I bet you they'll shut their mouths. Michael Jackson was one of the richest people on the planet, yet he had NO freedom. So sad. We miss you Michael. RIP far from hatred and evil spirits.

There are two sides.

The first one concerns those who created bad rumors and they did it for money. Some people wanted to destroy Michael's public image so that people love and buy other artists. Michael has talked about that.

The second one concerns those who believed those bad rumors and spread them. And here the answer is more complex. People who said bad things about Michael did it because: a) they are selfish and cannot accept that someone else is more important/capable/beautiful/clever/creative than them, b) they are so "ugly" (=inside and outside) that they can't understand Michael's greatness. For this reason, it's easier for them to believe the bad side, c) people ususally judge according to their own standards. So, since our society consists of a-holes at 90%, it's normal for these people to believe that Michael is like them.

Speaking from self experiance, Michael did so much to help the world, was a beautiful and talented man and loved children. It really also comes from him being so extremely famous!
