This is a good question. No one exactly knows specifically why the will was changed when it was. However, there are some factors that are known. 1. Joan had an excellent relationship with the two youngest children: Cathy and Cindy. 2. Joan had not seen Christopher in years. He had been a rebellious child and resented her and she did not want to deal with him any longer. 3. Christina and Joan had a difficult relationship for years. 4. Christina began writing the book before Joan's death. Joan heard that Christina was asking questions about her life from friends and was planning on writing a book. This upset Joan. And, Joan changed the will after having knowledge of a planned book. Christina had not seen Joan for some years before her death. Joan had been financially supporting Christina for years as well.
