V blew up two buildings in V for Vendetta. The first building he blew up was the Old Bailey. The second, at the end of the movie, was The Houses of Parliament, which was why V masked himself with a 'Fawkesian' mask. Guy Fawkes was hung, drawn and quartered for attempting to blow up the Houses in 1605, which would have killed all the politicians, and the King who was due there that day. Like Guy, V was a revolutionary man and sought the beginning of a new, and better, era.

∙ 10y agoV blows up the Old Baily as it is a symbol of ultimate justice for the government. In V's eyes there is no justice. He sees the government as the very people who have taken the justice away from the people, so why should such a symbol exist.
