It wasn't canceled.
nice answer, the others say that it is done, but the next season is coming in September
okay from what i hear it is canceled they did promise to restart it but that was in 2005 i highly doubt there gonna restart it they mainly canceled it because they didnt want to make fillers . honestly in my opinion i don't care about the fillers i would much rather just see whats gonna happen
i agree i just wanna know what happens comics are okay but there nowhere as good as the show i hate viz for getting our hopes up they did promise to restart but couldn't follow through on there word to .makes me mad
Yes it was canceled believe me i have read everything that is post on the internet, on September 2009 they are going to restart (technically they left it stand by) [like Sailor Moon, it's not finish]
Supposibly it isn't cancelled. if it was cancelled then they wouldn't be showing the old episodes anymore ( they show it on adultswim between Saturday and Sunday, on 3:00 am) the series will continue, but not until the summer of 2010

They stopped it because it had caught up with the manga back then. On to the good news, recently in Shonen Sunday #31, they announced that a "big news" will be announced in #34 on July 22. To be honest, this could amount to anything but the fanbase is leaning towards the posibility that it could mean the continuation of the series. The manga is already completed and if this happens it would mean the animation of chapters 358-558 which is the rest of the story.
they lost funding and it was continued in the shonen magazing until ramiko takashi started focusing on her other anime/manga. you can find chapters online at mangaattic.com or go to the bookstore
== == == == What is likely the reason is that with many manga-based anime, the TV series finally caught up with the manga in terms of story, having begun 4 years after the manga was started. Thus, there were a lot of what they call "filler episodes" which means that they have nothing to do with the original story, but are put in to let the manga catch up and lay the ground work for the story. Rather than make up an ending or continue with filler episodes, they stopped making them entirely as the series was relatively faithful to the original manga. The "final" episode was simply the anime version of chapter 355, and the manga ended in June, 2008 at 558 chapters. I think it is safe to assume that some time in the future they will either resume making episodes, or have an OVA or movie conclusion of some kind due to the popularity of the show and manga.
They ended it because the manga series needed too go on, so they finished the MANGA and inuyasha still hasn't come back, now people are getting angry and sad.
i hear that the anime will come back this or next year. They made a 5th movie called Black Tessiaga but it showed once only in Japan. Their thinking of making it public
I'm pretty sure that they just ran out of episode ideas.
The anime caught up with Rumiko Takahashi publishing the manga. This had already happened before, right before Season 4 aired. That's why Season 4 has almost no bearing on the story, because all the episodes were fillers, created by the anime workers to waste time until Takahashi published more manga volumes.
When they caught up again after Season 7, the anime people decided to cancel new episodes altogether until Takahashi finished the manga completely, which she did in 2009.
After that, Inuyasha: The Final Act was produced, airing 26 new episodes that wrap up the story. All episodes can be seen at Hulu.com.
Not completely sure... but everybody keeps telling me that more InuYasha episodes are going to be out this September. Actually the series canceled for a bit but new episodes come on at Hulu.com, hope this helped
They haven't stopped with the anime or manga Naruto. They've only continued it with Naruto Shippuden.
She helps by making inuyasha and seshomoru work together
It is chapter 356, so if you'd like to start off right after the last episode of Inuyasha, (167), then you'd want to start off at 357. http://www.mangawhat.com/Inuyasha/357
No because Inuyasha: The Final Act is the last series of Inuyasha and that didn't have Inuyasha's baby.
Episode 18 of InuYasha the final Act
The second season of inuyasha is called Inuyasha: The final acts.
