Stephanie Mills and Jeffrey Daniel were only married for a very brief period of time in the 1980s. Daniel was in the band Shalamar at the time. The marriage ended because Mills said there was too much stress from going into a relationship too soon after a bad one ended.

I remember a story that hit JET magazine many years ago. And the story stated something along the lines that Stephanie Mills and Jeffery Daniels decided to marry after a short-lived romance and if I am not mistaken, Mr. Daniels gave Stephanie's family the address to the WRONG CHURCH because he knew they would object to her marrying him .... he was not on her level and personally believe he was just after her fame and $$$$. I believe the marriage was annulled after a short stint. If that JET could be found, the story is there.
