This argument goes back to the late twenties when movies matured enough for dialogue to take place- hence Talkies. There are some movie plots that are, put mildly not suitable for children- and the ratings system takes this into account. There is material on television Cartoons that has very little oversight and can be frightening, disturbing, and even poking sick fun at sacred themes- there is a Chipmunks cartoon where ( and this sick parodying is done without words) There is a visible pun on Calvary with the Chipmunks hung up on trees by head-hunters and the camera angle suggests the Three Men on Calvary- sickening! Movies can be good or bad, but TV is worse.

There's no fun in playing it safe. Why not try something a little unhinged?

Kids under 13 should not watch PG-13 movies because they were rated for children over 13 because they have somethimg inappropriate for younger children in it!
