If I am not mistaken the radio singer Ray Heatherton, the so-called Merry Mailman, helped to popularize this song, ( a good side line, as well Christmas makes bigs bucks for the post office!) I had this record as a kid. For some odd reason it isn"t widely played, I have not heard it on the Yule stations for a couple of seasons. It is a good family type song, nothing offensive.

It is uncertain who actually wrote the words to Jolly Old St. Nicholas. It has been wrongly credited to Wilf Carter. Benjamin Hanby is also said to be the writer.
