∙ 15y agoBefore Vader was Vader, Anakin Skywalker had an apprentice named Ahsoka Tano during the Clone wars. The events surrounding her training are in the Star Wars Clone Wars movie.
Darth Vader's first secret apprentice was Galen Marek. Known only as "the Apprentice" or "Starkiller", he was Vader's personal assasin. Palpatine discovered Galen and forced Vader to badly wound him and throw him into space. Vader rescued Galen without the Emperor realizing it and ordered Galen Marek to start a Rebel Alliance. Instead of betraying the Alliance as he had been ordered to, Galen saved them when the Emperor tried to destroy them. He killed himself to allow the Rebel leaders to escape Palpatine.
Vader's second secret apprentice was named Tao. Tao was originally a Jedi padawan. He was the sole Survivor of a group of Jedi that tried to kill Vader on Shumari. Darth Vader easily killed most of the Jedi attacking him until only Tao was left. Instead of running away, Tao gave in to anger and continued to attack Vader. Vader sensed this and eventually swayed Tao to the Dark Side and made Tao his second secret apprentice. Tao was discovered and captured by Palpatine, who forced Vader to mortally wound his own apprentice, just has he had forced Vader to do to his first apprentice. Tao was taken back to Shumari to die. Just before he died, Tao saved Vader's life from a Tusken Raider who nearly killed Vader.
