I'm sure kisame liked itachi as a Friend, although the only person itachi considered as a friend in his life was his lil'brother sasuke (NOT YAOI LOVE TO ALL YOU PERVS OUT THERE! this is serious masashi kishimato truthness here!). he loved sasuke as a friend and brother until after he died trying to make sasuke a hero his whole life. at first it didn't seem like it but all about itachi is revealed in book 43. after itachi died sasuke went into a state of shock when he learned how much itachi cared for him, he learned he had killed his only friend and has decided to kill the people of konaha to avenge itachi's death.
