He is referring to a band called "Barefoot Jerry", a group of Nashville session musicians. Named after a fiddle player who ran a grocery store in Townsend, TN. Music is best described as acid country. Many different players thru the bands history, but the music was always great. I saw them live a couple of times. I even went to the old store and met the namesake 'Barefoot Jerry' before he died. That would have been about 1976.
