The Original was fron 1923 threepenny opera but I think you are thinking of a newer version which was "Mack the Knife" sung by Louis Armstrong in 1954, but the song made most popular by Bobby Darin in 1958

Also sang by Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Buffett, and Robby Williams.

"Mack the Knife" or "The Ballad of Mack the Knife", was composed by Kurt Weill with lyrics by Bertolt Brecht for their music drama Die Dreigroschenoper, or, as it is known in English, The Threepenny Opera. It premiered in Berlin in 1928 at the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm.
