"Sweet" is the name of the band. They also did "Fox On The Run", another hit from the 1974 album "Desolation Boulevard". It was done by Sweet in 1975. There were actually 4 bands that performed "Ballroom Blitz." Sweet, Krokus, Blue Oyster Cult, and The Misfits The Buzzcocks also performed it. Like everyone else said, from The Sweet. But I really think it's THE Sweet. :)
It was originally by the Sweet, although it was written by the Chinn/Chapman writing partnership that wrote a lot of the glam rock of the era.
yes but Sweet made it famous. So, there is a very rare chance that you'll hear the original by Blue Oyster Cult.
Original Answer: Non-definite no. I downloaded the supposed cover a few times from different sources and they are all the same, the original song by Sweet. Really? I am pretty sure I used to have a copy of Meat Loaf's version alongside the Sweet version. It was definitely sung by Meat Loaf at some point, although his voice did sound a bit rough, which suggests the cover was made later in his career.
tom tom sweet is a kind of sweet made in NIGIRIA
