wolverine is better; however he never killed sabretooth. magneto hired him as a bounty hunter and sent him to wakanda to kill black panther, but Black Panther killed sabretooth instead by cutting of his head with a viblade.

There are many different versions of Wolverine and Sabretooth. Wolverine is relatively similar in all versions (film, a variety of cartoon series, standard Marvel Universe, Alternate Marvel universes and the Ultimate Marvel universe) whereas Sabretooth varies quite dramatically even within one universe (for example view the differences between Sabretooth in the X-Men film and his appearance, abilities, attitude and personality in the Wolverine film).

In most confrontations the pair are showed as equally matched. Sabretooth is undoubtedly larger and stronger than Wolverine. Both are quite evenly matched in terms of speed, stamina and healing factor. Wolverine had the advantage of his longer claws, an unbreakable skeleton and higher levels of discipline and agility.

Occasionally Sabretooth is depicted as having an Adamantium skeleton too but this is not the norm so shall be ignored for this debate.

This is perhaps one of the most difficult to call due to the incredible similarities between the two combatants. Even the differences between them compliment each other. Sabretooth's larger, stronger frame is matched evenly with Wolverine's smaller and more agile frame.

The only big difference is the Adamantium skeleton. Wolverine is incredibly dense and has a far greater mass than would be expected due to the metal in his frame. The Adamantium also renders Wolverine's bones unbreakable and gifts him with razor sharp claws.

This is a distinct advantage in Wolverine's favour and would ultimately turn the tide. The battle would be long but if retreat was not an option then eventually, finally, ultimately Wolverine will win.
