Rainy Orteca a.k.a. "Dead Air" is a songwriter, producer, and musician. She has a solo project called Dead Air. It is entirely Self written, performed, recorded and produced. A six song EP will be available in 2008 on Reveal Records in the UK. She is also a member of Joan as Police Woman and has worked with many well known artists such as Antony and the Johnsons, Lesley Gore, Sarah Silverman. Songwriting collaborations, to name but a few, include French singer/songwriter Camille, Joan Osborne and the Divinyls.
