Lewis designs interiors for residences, businesses and the occasional corporate. In the early 1960s, Lewis established her first practices in Miami and New York. She later moved on to her second practice. In 1972, Sally Sirkin Lewis and her husband, Bernard Lewis, founded a firm in Los Angeles, CA named J Robert Scott & Associates. How Lewis and her husband came up with the name was because in Los Angeles Roberts Boulevard was where the main stream of the best furniture was located. J Robert Scott & Associates has had 37 years of design. All upholstery is hand made at the local factory in Inglewood, CA. Many different types of fabric are shipped in from overseas; silk from Babcock, wools from the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia, and Spain. The mills are in France and The Netherlands. J Robert Scott & Associates has many company showrooms in 27 cities in 18 countries. Sally Sirkin Lewis has been awarded more that 150 United States Design Patents.
