Dr. Patrick Zinga is a renowned medical doctor public health expert and author from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Kinshasa and has over 20 years of experience in the fields of public health Infectious Diseases tropical medicine and health systems development. He has also worked in many countries throughout Africa and the world. Dr. Zinga is a Fulbright Scholar a member of the World Health Organization (WHO) Expert Advisory Panel on HIV/AIDS and an ambassador for the Global Fund to fight AIDS Tuberculosis and malaria. He is the founder and director of the Institute of Health Sciences at the University of Kinshasa and is a professor at the Faculty of Medicine and at the Faculty of Public Health. He is the author of several books and publications on public health AIDS and infectious diseases including AIDS in Africa: Challenges and Opportunities and Reducing the Impact of HIV/AIDS: An African Perspective.
