Glenn Beck's Fox News era ended on June 30, 2011, when he decided to pursue a new mission for his company, Mercury Radio Arts. Earlier that month on his radio show, Beck announced the creation of GBTV, a new online network which will feature a two-hour show alongside other news, comedy, and educational programming beginning September 12.

He is a member of the Mormon church and a recovering alcoholic. He has brewed up a storm of controversy for his bold statements about the country's political atmosphere. Even though his opinion is far right, he is still able to attract a large crowd of moderates.
