There is a line, "standing on a backstreet in the falling rain" from a Foghat song titled "I'll Be Standing By" from 1977. Might be what you're thinking of...might not.
No. The Four Lads recorded it.
Yes....the title of the song is "Take it Easy" written by Jackson Browne
It's P.L.P not P.I.P. It means Public Leaning Post. Get it? Kinda standing on the street corner at the parking meter.
I don't know if you mean the slow song they play when they dance, or if you mean when we see Victoria standing in the window, watching them. At least you get both :) Flightless Bird - American Mouth 15 step - Radiohead
the song came from the musical Rainmaker. I do not remember the writter but the cowboys were "standing on the corner, watching all the girls go by...standing on the corner, giving all the girls the eye.": Rainmaker Musical

I have been at a wedding and there was a song playing I can't remember much of it but I think it was quite recent and was upbeat and related to love. It had some lyrics to do with 'meeting at the corner' or 'watching at the corner' or something like that, however that was just a line in it I remembered, the chorus was different. Thanks.
I think the song talks about God's people standing side by side and watching each other's backs as they fight for good. After all, the first line is taken from the Bible
if u mean the music video it was hero/heroine by boys like girls awesome song
