Mad about you
The TV show Monk is one of my favorite TV series. It's about a detective who is very smart, but has many personal issues, such as germaphobia (he's scared of germs), and milk, mushrooms, heights and all sorts of things. He was a great police force, but was removed from his office, because of his odd behavior after his wife Trudy, died in a car bomb. The TV show is about when he is a homicide consultant, working with the police helping them to solve homicide case after case. It's a great show and I think it's fun to watch!
They have demonstrated the value of postcognition.

How is biotechnology used to solve crimes? How is biotechnology used to solve crimes?
They have learned how to take finger prints. The amount of unsolved cases has gone down since they learned fingerprinting.
There has recently been an increase of television shows where psychics help the police to solve crimes. I hate to break it to you, but generally speaking this sort of thing doesn't happen, for several reasons. First, the public and particularly the police are skeptical of the abilities of psychics. As most true psychics can not focus their talents on a specific question -like "Where is the lost child?" and get reliable answers. For a psychic to be of real help in this crime they need to be able to pinpoint the child's whereabouts. "237 North main Street in the basement" is not usually what they get. More likely they will see "A dark place, below ground" "Near traffic" "Under the yellow roses" It is not an exact science, in spite of what you may see on TV. Second, most psychics are reluctant to contact the authorities with a "vague" idea. Who would pay much attention to a person claiming to know the president is going to be shot. And if they did, what are the chances the psychic would be under suspicion of being part of the plot. I am not saying there aren't psychics that help solve crime, but they are rare people and rarer police officers.
Yes, most people do believe most psychics are fakes and it's disgusting they live off the misery of others. So-called psychics will say that even if what they say isn't true it gives their client some comfort. They forgot to mention the money they scammed off the client! I have no doubt that God has chosen to give a gift to a very few people with the ability to help others with psychic powers, but it's approximately 1% of the world's population. Edgar Casey, a farmer, with little education was healer. There are two English women that have helped police actually solve crimes and the police have backed these ladies. There are a couple of women such as this in the U.S. People with such a gift should be helping police to solve crimes or find missing people and not charging. That's the sign of a true psychic. Yes. If they were real, they would predict the winning lotto numbers and then perform psychic services for free.
To solve unsolved problems innovatively
Because police officers are paid for solving crimes and enforcing the law, they are usually ineligible for rewards paid to people who help solve crimes. Bank tellers are usually ineligible for rewards for helping to solve crimes committed against their employers, but could be eligible for rewards from other sources.
